Codependency

Similar but non-identical,

Familiar yet so foreign,

Complex yet so simple,

As if looking in the mirror,

But not exactly at my silhouette.

Persistent hands are declined in a mere second,

Mutliple times to infinite - "No,thank you" still remains,

Deemed as complex and sometimes accused to be feigning,

"But I just prefer a one way lane",

"As long as you smile as I battle your pain.".
