"Instagrammable" Is A Part of Life and So Is '"Uninstagrammable"
Social media does not depict our entire life.It leaves the bad days, the flaws and the 'uninstagrammable' parts in our life out.The picture perfect moments, filled with beaming smiles and sparkled eyes, that are often the choice of people to share to the world are a fraction of the whole picture of every individual's life.It could possibly be the only coloured part on a pitch black board,if you will.
On social media,we see updates from everyone in every second.John is doing this,Anna is doing that and you look at yourself and wonder what in the world are you doing with your life. That is the thing about social media,it makes you feel the need to do something meaningful and productive every single second (In a way, that is the beauty of it).You will start to question yourself if you have even been trying so far,or have even tried enough at this point.
That is the thought that you would have if you focus on the negative side of the internet spectrum.
I believe the old men never intended to create such a generation development catastrophe. It was us,it is us,who have used this powerful tool in the wrong way.For the sake of explaining my point,I will narrow the subject to Instagram.Instagram is meant to be a place to share happy moments with the ones you love.It is meant to be an outlet for creativity or just simply a place to share a very poor quality selfie with your cat.But undoubtedly and certainly shouldn't be a pothole of negativity. It is simply just a place of accumulated happy moments that are meant to instill inspiration or motivation,if you must. And these moments don't happen consecutively. However, the way the photos are laid out suggest otherwise despite the date shown at the bottom of the screen,it fails to snap our minds out to the reality. These fixed and rigid boxes suggest perfection.A perfect feed.A perfect life.Stability."Man,they're on top of the world".What happens when the venomous idea place a spot in your mind? Every time you feel like you lost it,you break, you compare and you will find your weak moments unacceptable and weird.
What I'm trying to relay here is that it is normal to have ups and downs in life.It is normal to feel extremely content one day,to the point you wonder and forget how it feels like to be sad,and the next to feel so hopeless as though the world has turned its back from you.My biggest concern are the little children (but then again whose little children in them have really expired) that are still figuring out life, who are in a mission,in a journey to understand life,to identify the flow and pattern of life which certainly cannot be gleaned from the interweb. In another word,as how the classic saying goes, life is like a wheel - sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down. When you are placed at the bottom, chin up darling and wipe those tears of yours. The world is your oyster! There are so many more opportunities ahead of you.Never let one hole stop you forever! Always remember that everyone is on their own journey.Your weak moments could be someone's strong moments.Always believe in Him.
