Big Little Moments

It's in these littlest mundane moments

that we don't realise how much it takes for such simple tasks;

oh how different would it be,

if we could not hear and see,

oh how much more effort would we need,

without our hands and feet.

I reflect on these littlest things as my foot hits the accelerator in my 20 minute commute to home. The sky is orange, reminding me that it's time to return home. There's just something about driving that makes you think and ponder a lot. I wonder if that's the real reason why I enjoy driving. I am in love with the abundant time that it allows me to think.

So quiet but never lonely,

as the sound of the tyres hitting the road accompanies me,

never sullen with the blue skies,

that I get to see with my own two eyes.

It's in these littlest mundane moments that we don't realise how much it takes for such simple tasks;

amused every time,

as my eyes drifted left, right and behind,

shifting speed at the same time,

and after all that I'm still fine.

they're the simple tasks that make our lives,

like laundry and long drives,

they're the repetitions that we never miss,

within which derives the greatest bliss.
